Our Mission: Making Benefits Simple

At Veterans for Veterans, we believe every service member should get their earned benefits without stress or confusion. We turn the complex VA system into clear steps you can follow with our help.

The VA system often makes veterans feel lost in paperwork. We're changing that by creating a community where veterans help each other get the benefits they earned through their service.

We lead with empathy, operate with integrity, and serve with the same honor veterans gave to our country.

Our Story: We've Been Where You Are

Veterans for Veterans began because we faced the same problems you're facing now. Our founder, Kenneth Davis, is a proud Navy veteran who served in Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom.

After transitioning out of military service, Kenneth didn’t just navigate the VA system—he became part of it.

As a VA Rater, Kenneth worked at regional offices in San Diego, Milwaukee, and Washington, D.C., reviewing thousands of claims and gaining deep, insider knowledge of how decisions are made. He saw how difficult the process could be for veterans and knew there had to be a better way.

This experience inspired him to create Veterans for Veterans, a place where veterans could get real support from people who’ve walked in their boots—and understand the system from both the veteran and the institutional side.

We began by helping one veteran at a time. Then we hosted workshops. Now, we offer expert-led guides, online courses, and a growing support community—all shaped by the question: “What would have made this easier for me?”

Our Approach: How We Help

We help veterans in five main ways:

1. Teaching You the Basics

We don't just file your paperwork - we show you how the system works. When you understand your benefits and what you qualify for, you can make better choices.

2. Personal Support
for Your Situation

Your service was unique, so your benefits should be too. We look at your specific service history, health needs, and goals to give you the right help.

3. Building a Strong Case

Getting approved requires the right paperwork. We help gather and present your medical records and service history in the best way possible.

4. Helping Beyond Approval

Getting approved is just the start. We also help you use your benefits for healthcare, education, housing, and better financial security.

5. Connecting with Other Veterans

We bring veterans together to share tips and support. This creates both practical help and the sense of teamwork many miss after leaving the service.

Our Team: Veterans Leading Veterans

Our leadership is grounded in lived experience, professional expertise, and academic excellence. Veterans for Veterans is led by a team committed to building a future where veterans thrive—through policy, education, and action.

Kenneth Davis, Founder & CEO

Kenneth Davis is a Navy veteran who served during Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom.

After his military service, Kenneth worked as a VA Rater at regional offices across the country, including San Diego, Milwaukee, and Washington, D.C. This experience gave him a unique view into how the VA benefits system works—and how it often fails veterans.

Kenneth is also a Doctoral Candidate at the UNLV School of Public Policy, where his capstone focuses on expanding the Dependency and Indemnity Compensation (DIC) program to better support surviving spouses and families of veterans who die from service-connected disabilities, even if they were not rated 100% at the time of death.

Kenneth combines deep institutional insight, a heart for service, and policy expertise to lead this organization with clarity and impact.

Kavon Jones,
Executive Vice President
