Speaker: [00:00:00] If you're rated a hundred percent PNT or you're working to get there, this video is about what that rating really
Speaker 2: unlocks beyond the monthly check. We're gonna walk you through the benefits that take major pressure off things like housing, healthcare, and education. Plus a few most veterans don't even realize,
Speaker: stick with us from the start to finish so you don't miss something that you or your family could be using right now.
Speaker 2: Hello and welcome to Prepare to Compete where we talk all things VA benefits, real estate, entrepreneurship, and more. Kenneth Davis, how you feeling today? My brother
Speaker: really blessed and really excited to go into this new year, 2026 and uh, just to see what the future is to behold for us.
Speaker 2: Absolutely. We are here at the start of 2026.
Speaker 2: Hope everyone had a [00:01:00] wonderful holiday season with their family and those that matter the most.
Speaker: No. True indeed. True indeed. 'cause this is the season to really, uh, you know, fellowship with Joyce and really, uh, be with us. Those who matter, not only those who matter. Uh, we are here with you guys because you guys matter and we're really a able to go ahead and, uh, hopefully, uh, kick off this new year with more information that's gonna be able to benefit you and your family.
Speaker 2: Absolutely. And we want to definitely kick that off. We have some wonderful information for you today on the benefits of. A hundred percent permanent in total. But before we get into that, you know, we are here 2026 and we want to talk about goals. Right. You know, everyone has their different goals. So now, kind of foreshadowing the future of being in 2027, you know, what goals are you looking to accomplish this year for yourself, Kenneth?
Speaker: Well, one, one big goal is to really [00:02:00] go ahead and. Uh, really educate and support at least 50,000 veterans on this channel and how we're gonna be able to, is to be able to get through 50,000 subscribers. So if you could like, share, subscribe, we want hit that goal because not only do we want to help you, we wanna help others around us.
Speaker: So please, let's go ahead and help your brother and sister at Arms by continue to go ahead and share sharing this video, but others as well.
Speaker 2: Absolutely, and reach down in the comments, man. Share your goal for the year. You know the version of yourself. Looking back in 2027, what could you have accomplished this year that would've made you most proud of yourself?
Speaker 2: So please, definitely share that down in the comment. Would love. Be able to reflect and fellowship with you about the year to come because it's gonna be an amazing year this year.
Speaker: Awesome. Awesome.
Speaker 2: Now, so as we get started, man, they here, you know, there's always a lot of talk about the benefits of a hundred percent permanent in total, and we wanna clear that up for the [00:03:00] community here today.
Speaker 2: So now Kenneth, a lot of the veterans really focus on that monthly payment, right? But there's a lot of value that veterans miss when they're not educated about the other benefits that come along with being a hundred percent permanent and total. Go.
Speaker: No, true indeed. There's so many different benefits out there, uh, with regards to talking about a hundred percent p and t.
Speaker: That's a kind of a really, really big, uh, uh, goal to hit, right, as you mentioned. But let's not overshadow the, the actual, uh, benefits of just being a veteran as well. Right. Uh, there are so many doors that are open for just being a veteran. We wanna make sure that we're also taking advantage of those things.
Speaker: So let's go ahead and start at the veteran first, then up our way to a hundred percent p and t when we talk about all things benefits, but we want to kind of open up the door with a hundred percent p and t uncovering those benefits. But don't forget being a veteran is a benefit in itself.
Speaker 2: Absolutely Kenneth.
Speaker 2: Absolutely. And [00:04:00] really looking at, again, in talking about a lot of those auxiliary benefits and thinking about how that really impacts the veteran and their family from just a expense reduction, right? Because you're talking about benefits such as healthcare, education, benefits, uh, for the veteran and even their family independence and how much money that's saving.
Speaker 2: The veteran in their family because healthcare is a major expense, you know, going into this year and beyond. So just being mindful of being able to exercise those things, that a hundred percent permanent in total is really gonna be impactful for those veteran families.
Speaker: Yeah, no, true indeed. Uh, exercising and unpacking the benefits, I wanna make sure we understand that, right?
Speaker: Uh, how is it gonna be best use case for your life, your scenario? Because, uh, when we talk about these benefits, right? I wanna also acknowledge that, uh, these could be some dependent benefits. These could [00:05:00] be state, uh, state benefits that may not be, uh, in your locality. They can also be benefits that is suitable.
Speaker: For education as well, which everyone, uh, when we talk about these, uh, specific demographics, everyone, we need to make sure that, uh, all silos of demographics of veterans are receiving this information. So we're really excited about this one.
Speaker 2: Absolutely. And that's why veterans, you have to join our community.
Speaker 2: You have to visit the learning center because we have detailed courses that go over every single auxiliary benefit and talk more about healthcare, GI Bill and so forth, right? So definitely subscribe to the community, check out the learning center so that you can receive that education that's gonna help you and your family, and.
Speaker 2: Maximize those benefits that you ultimately deserve.
Speaker: And not only that, just understand that this community is gonna be so impactful, [00:06:00] right? Uh, because it's also laws and reg and, and also regulations that's coming down the pipeline that we wanna stay privy of. But not only that, you can actually check, check out our journey in regards to changing veteran law as well.
Speaker: We're really excited to see you in the community. We wanna make sure that you take down that journey as well.
Speaker 2: Absolutely. So as we get in some of the benefits of, uh, p and t, a hundred percent, I want to go and we want to talk about healthcare now. Kenneth, uh, what is one of the, uh, things that change regarding healthcare when veterans are a hundred percent permanent in total?
Speaker: Wow. Well, healthcare, right, healthcare, we wanna understand that it, you don't necessarily need a hundred to be a hundred percent permanent in total to receive healthcare from the va. I wanna start there. Alright. However. Now you want to be able to provide healthcare to your dependents. How do you do so?
Speaker: Well, becoming a hundred percent PNT will actually be able to authorize [00:07:00] the veteran to be able to receive healthcare benefits to their dependents and spouse. Okay? Your dependent and spouse is already dependent on you because at ti nine times outta 10, you are the sole breadwinner of your household as a veteran.
Speaker: However, now. We also wanna understand that you can be able to provide, uh, healthcare for your family as well because we do know health is a big, big part of our journey and we wanna make sure that they're also covered as well. So being able to be able to, uh, receive Champ va, that's gonna be very impactful and big for your family because they will then be able to carry, carry.
Speaker: Cover your healthcare expenses. Uh, but again, just like any healthcare insurance, there will be specific copays in and out of network and also prescription based as well. Uh, but again, uh, what you'll be able to do is kind of get a, uh, platform and if you enter the community, you will then be able to receive a.
Speaker: A document that's gonna go ahead and [00:08:00] outline what is champva for you as well in detail of, uh, spur and copays and prescriptions as well.
Speaker 2: Absolutely. No, that's a very, uh, important benefit, right? Again, like we were saying, healthcare is a significant expense. Uh, and now a lot of, uh, our veterans still work, right?
Speaker 2: And they have coverage through their employers. So how do they decide whether for their families. If they should use the Chap VA program or use the provided healthcare that they may have available to them from an employer.
Speaker: That's a great question. Well, it really depends on circumstance, you know, um, obviously health is a very, very personal thing to all of us, um, and being, being personal.
Speaker: We also wanna make sure that we understand that whatever your circumstantial or health circumstance is, you wanna make sure that you make the right choice for you and your family. Uh, but ultimately. We understand that going with chant [00:09:00] VA will have a, a, again, an immense, immense availability to facilities, uh, again, privatized and also, uh, again, uh, with the VA as well.
Speaker: Uh, but we want to take in consideration your circumstance, uh, your comfortability, your health condition, your doctor availability. So these are different things that we want to take into consideration. So when we talk about choosing, uh, what's healthcare is gonna be best for you. We want say, choose the best healthcare that's gonna get you the best out of the situation.
Speaker: Okay? Uh, but when regards to Champ V eight, we want to understand that you will be, uh, facilitated to be able to see a doctor for your specialized needs and also primary care needs as well, uh, if that is gonna be of issue. But, um, obviously privatize healthcare. Uh, that's something that, you know, you may utilize as well.
Speaker: Uh, but when you are a hundred percent PNT, it's not something that is needed, right? Uh, if, if you, I, i, if you go down that road a [00:10:00] pathway, uh, however, during the cross comparison in regards to your needs, your desires, or your wants, uh, we also want to take in consideration, uh, you know, the healthcare. The healthcare service that is provided to you.
Speaker: So it's all gonna be based upon, uh, your current circumstance.
Speaker 2: Absolutely. Okay. And now we're talking about healthcare and we're talking about the primary care and supplemental services. Now, are you able to receive dental care for the veteran and their family when you're a hundred percent permanent and total?
Speaker 2: Uh,
Speaker: great question. Well, uh, we won't be able to receive dental care for the entire family, but the veteran will be able to receive dental care. Uh, typically you'll be able to receive dental care on base. They'll be able to, uh, again, you'll be able to receive the dental office from, uh, again, uh, being able to be on base.
Speaker: But again, uh, also there's gonna be referrals out if again, uh, your dental, uh, your dental issue, uh, health issue is gonna be beyond their scope, right? So we gotta also gotta take that into consideration. So, [00:11:00] um, uh, availability for dental services are, are very much so limited, but you do have the coverage available to you, so don't think you don't have the coverage.
Speaker: You can be able to go ahead and get those dental services provided to you. Um, and also those vouchers and referrals outside of your outside network. So never, never give up. Okay. Veterans because they always say again that dental care is a little, a little bit more difficult to be able to receive. Make sure you are knocking down those doors so you'd be able to receive that.
Speaker: And if you needed some assistance, please uh, join our community so we can be able to get you some assistance there.
Speaker 2: Absolutely. Absolutely. So now, great Ken, of talking to the veteran community regarding the healthcare benefits, but now we want to talk about potential property tax relief and savings that veterans at a hundred percent permanent and total are able to receive.
Speaker 2: So obviously you're talking about property taxes. When you own a home, you're talking about other. Uh, potential savings, uh, being a homeowner, you [00:12:00] know, what is one of the biggest long-term, I guess, benefits, uh, of home ownership in general? Right.
Speaker: Wow. That's a, that's a loaded question, right? So it is so many different, uh, benefits when we talk about, uh, home sustainability, right?
Speaker: I, I, I like to reference it as that because, uh, you know, living circumstances is very important, uh, as a veteran, uh, or in the military, nine times outta 10. Um, and it's not everyone, it's not everyone's experience, uh, but a lot of veterans you are relocating very often, whether if you're deployed, whether, if you are changing duty stations, whether if you are needed, uh, TDYs, there's so many different, uh, uns unstable place that you're in.
Speaker: You think you're stationed in San Diego, but no, you have went to Nevada, Arizona, uh, deployed for seven months and then come back and now you've only actually had feet on ground in San Diego for about. Let's say a year outta your entire enlistment, right? Because it happens. But being able to purchase a home to be [00:13:00] able, some, have some place to call home, that's a big thing.
Speaker: So understandably, uh, one big thing is home security. Being able to, uh, have some place to lay your head on a regular basis. And I think that's, uh, one of the biggest benefits as well, uh, for you and your family. Uh, that's one big benefit.
Speaker 2: No, absolutely. And. Because of that and because of your sacrifices for the country, uh, and being a hundred percent permanent in total, there's some additional, uh, savings for property tax that is offered, but that's gonna be based upon, uh.
Speaker 2: Individual states.
Speaker: Yeah. Yeah. Uh, yeah, true indeed. Uh, right. If, uh, so it, it is based upon, uh, state coverage. You know, it depends on, uh, what the state offers. Uh, there's many states, uh, such as California who's, uh, been really, really fighting for this and trying to put this in place. Uh, but it's very difficult, right.
Speaker: Uh, passing laws. And I think, you know, we know a little bit, a little bit about that. But not too much, right? We want to be able to make sure that we actually get it right as [00:14:00] well. Uh, but when we talk about, uh, you know, uh, property tax savings, as I mentioned before. You're an unstable in a housing situation, you're not gonna be able to get that.
Speaker: But if you actually utilize your VA home loan and you are taking advantage of the home that you're in, uh, now if the state offers it, you'll be able to, uh, be formerly, uh, be tax exempt in certain states for property taxes where you're actually gonna be shaving down some of your mortgage costs, okay? By not being able to pay those property taxes.
Speaker: But also, uh, with that being said, in some states. You're actually gonna be giving a percentage off of your, uh, property taxes that are gonna be, uh, imposed on your home. So now. With that, you are actually, again, saving more on your mortgage. So there's many benefits from being a hundred percent permanent total.
Speaker: And property tax exemption or property tax reduction is one of them.
Speaker 2: Okay? Right. So depending on the state, it may be a total exemption. Other states may be [00:15:00] a reduction. Now, if you visit our main website at vets for vets consulting.com, we actually have it listed on screen here. There's a. State map, you can literally click on your state and learn about all of the benefits that are available, uh, within that particular state.
Speaker 2: So definitely, uh, check out that resource is going to help you not only with that particular benefit, but some others that will actually get into here because there's also kind of some vehicle registration perks. That our, uh, veterans are able to receive there. So can you, uh, kind of educate a little bit more about, uh, how that process works for veterans?
Speaker: Yes. Yes. Uh, that is a really, really great perk, right? Uh, being a hundred percent, uh, permanent in total in some states. What it does, it actually puts you in a position where you don't necessarily need to be reli, uh, relied on to pay [00:16:00] for your, uh, your current car registration. Um, so the state actually covers a car registration such as, let's say, IE California.
Speaker: They will pay for your car registration to be registered. Um, my suggestion, always go with the most expensive car, right? Um, so you can be able to, uh, pay the least. Of the amount. So, uh, but with that, uh, they are able to pay, you are able to be totally exempt. One vehicle, uh, that is gonna be registered in your name.
Speaker: So now you don't pay that yearly annual cost that comes along every single year to register your car. So that's something that's, uh, really great. It's great in, uh, many states. Uh, but one referencing the state of California.
Speaker 2: No, definitely Kenneth. That's some great information regarding. Vehicle registration.
Speaker 2: But since we're talking about vehicles, we're talking about the registration. Now I know there's some different, uh, avenues and benefits regarding, uh, handicap placards and, uh, [00:17:00] veteran disabled license plates that are available. So now how do our veterans actually apply and kind of qualify for those?
Speaker: Great question. Uh, what it is is that veterans are authorized to be able to receive handicap, placards, or handicap, uh, license plate issuance, uh, based upon obviously your disabilities that are granted and service connected by the Department of Veterans Affairs. Now taking consideration. Uh, typically they're granted based upon, again, a mobility standards, and we want to be able to take that into consideration.
Speaker: So if your physician or primary care physician is able to confer that these disabilities are affecting your mobility, then you can be able to receive that issuance of that handicap placard, uh, per state, uh, by your state. Uh, but it's dependent upon, upon per state, right? Uh, because there are different standards when we talk about certain things.
Speaker: But, uh, what I will say is based upon basic regulation, if it is [00:18:00] affecting your mobility, uh, to be able to get to point A to point B, uh, you are authorized and all are granted to be receiving a handicap placard or uh, issuance of a handicap license plate as well.
Speaker 2: So are the eligibility requirements the same for the placard versus the license plate and it's just, uh, the decision of the veteran, which one they decide?
Speaker: Uh, typically yes, but I would check with your state and your local DMV, uh, because again, standards change. Uh, we don't wanna put out blanket information because it does, uh, it, it, it does it, it is per by state. Uh, let's make sure that we take that into consideration. Uh, but generally, yes, they do have the availability to choose, uh, both or either or.
Speaker 2: Great information, Kenneth. So we talk to our veterans about healthcare benefits. We talk to our veterans who already own properties regarding property tax reduction. [00:19:00] We also talked about vehicle and registration fee reduction. Now what about our veterans who don't currently own a property and looking to maximize their VA loan?
Speaker 2: Is there an option based on being a hundred percent permanent in total, an additional benefit for those veterans? And now Kenneth Minnie will say, Hey, V, what are you talking about? In order to waive the funding fee, you just need to be 10% service connected. And that is exactly right. However, again, we have to really think about things, veterans, uh, outside of the box, right?
Speaker 2: You have to understand that that new rating at a hundred percent at that, you know, estimated around 4,000 plus dollars a month. That can actually be grossed up when you're purchasing a home. So what do I [00:20:00] mean by that? Okay, so they're looking at your debt to income ratio. When you're purchasing a home, let's say you are receiving for even numbers here, veterans, $4,000 a month being a hundred percent permanent in total.
Speaker 2: Well, that is worth more than. $4,000 a month as your lender is counting that. Okay? They're going to multiply that by, uh, 1.25%. Okay? So they're going to basically gross that number up so that you'll qualify for. More based on a pre-taxed amount. Okay, so obviously that is gonna be huge, and just the fact that you have that additional income to be able to purchase, right?
Speaker 2: A lot of times veterans are discharging from service or retiring. You have a second career, and so you have your regular. Work income and now this additional [00:21:00] income that you have via being a hundred percent permanent in total is gonna help you just organically qualify for more home, let alone them grossing that number up.
Speaker 2: Right. So just making sure our veterans kind of understand that fact.
Speaker: Yeah, no, true indeed. Again, just having that benefit alone, that benefit could make or break you. Right. You can get in the home or not. And by having the, uh, the extra additional, uh, benefit and income that's coming along, uh, we understand that as.
Speaker: The VA home loan. As a VA home loan is authorized to you, but if you need a little bit more extra stretch to be able to get into your home to qualify because you may not have the full qualifying income. Because we know, uh, again, we know prices are always on the rise. So if prices always on rise, we wanna make sure that.
Speaker: Uh, all income is qualifiable, but not also [00:22:00] qualifiable. Uh, could some of the income that you receive offset the debts that you have? And essentially, your debt to income ratio could actually be lowered even more because you have a VA loan benefit which actually qualifies you to enter the home and qualify for your dream home for you and your family.
Speaker 2: Absolutely. And for our veterans who are, um, not receiving any additional income and living off of those benefits in some areas, I've ha I have seen veterans qualify to purchase a home just using their a hundred percent service connected, uh, income there of that $4,000, uh, a month. So. There's a lot of options out here for you.
Speaker 2: So if you are sitting there at 70, 80, or 90% and you know you have underlying conditions that you can upgrade your rating, you wanna pursue that 'cause it unlocks so many. [00:23:00] Opportunities for you.
Speaker: So many opportunities. I want to tell you with the turn of the year, you guys, you were just authorized in increasing your benefits, so you should have received that on your January 1st, 2026, uh, distribution of your benefits.
Speaker: But now that extra 2.8% of increase that you received. Well, guess what? If you are applying for your VA home loan, that could definitely offset, including in some additional debt that you may have been lingering or wondering about. So go, go, go ask your lender or just give us a call and we'll definitely be able to assist you as well.
Speaker 2: Absolutely. Always happy to assist. Thanks for watching. Prepare to compete. We're out. Peace.
